The Scottsdale League for the Arts wanted to increase awareness and attendance of its annual fundraising event among the local community and national public. The Scottsdale Culinary Festival is a week-long event where 100% of the proceeds fund diverse art and art education programs. Attendees experience culinary delights from renowned chefs, wine tasting and music performances in the beautiful setting of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Working closely with the Festival committee, we developed new logos and a unified brand for all the events for their 30th Annual Culinary Festival. Bold and alluring graphics became the visual focus of the overall Festival brand. We created the ad campaign, event posters, web graphics, programs, invitations, postcards, eblasts and day-of-the-event collateral material, delivering a cohesive message that promises a fun and memorable experience.
Since then, we have been creating a new graphic approach unique to each year, keeping the Festival's material fresh and enticing while preserving the overall theme to build brand value. More recently we have designed Sponsorship material, including a dimensional piece complete with salt and pepper shakers to help the League solicit support by national and international sponsors.
THE RESULT
Every year the Festival draws in thousands of visitors, including local, out-of-state and even international attendees looking to enjoy a week-long event of food, wine and music. Thanks to the success of the Festival, in 2010 the Scottsdale League for the Arts raised $302,000 for 54 Arts and Arts Education charities, with over $3.5 million distributed to date.
"This year's Festival attracted 40,000 people which exceeded our expectations and will no doubt result in much-needed support for the arts programs we champion throughout the year."
